ASAP: Hollywood Night
February 8, 2013
As Hollywood’s award season approaches its peak, Monmouth students will have the opportunity to add some of that glamour to their own lives. This Friday at 9 p.m. ASAP will be hosting a Hollywood Late Night in the Underground.
During the event, students will be able to get their red carpet picture taken, get personalized name art and enjoy a little bit of Grammys weekend glamour.
However, students who arrive by 9:30 p.m. will be the first to find out who the artist for this year’s Spring Concert will be. ASAP’s Late Night Chair, Amber Berge, originated the theme for the party, and ASAP’s Performing Arts Chair Emily Orenstein thought it would be the perfect opportunity to announce this year’s Spring Concert artist.
“When the whole concert started coming together, we wanted an event to reveal the artist at to make it as fun and exciting as possible,” Orenstien said. “What better night to announce a big concert than at a glamorous Hollywood Late Night?”
Every year, the students of ASAP bring a musical talent to campus and offer the event for an extremely discounted price.
This year, ASAP has drafted a line-up of impressive artists. Students were able to choose between Tyler Hilton, a Rock/Pop/Alternative mix artist who got his start as Chris Keller from One Tree Hill; The Cab, who just finished a tour with Maroon 5; Josh Kelly, a Rock/Country artist married to Katherine Heigl; and Ryan Cabrera, the singer behind “On the Way Down.”
“Tickets will go on Feb. 8 at the event after the reveal for five dollars each,” Orenstein said. “Each person can buy 5 tickets with an MC ID.”
