The Cab cancels all college tours
March 1, 2013
While the band The Cab was originally selected by popular vote to perform at this year’s Spring Concert, it looks as though a record deal has put and end to their college tours. The Association for Student Activity programming (ASAP) posted the following press release to their Facebook page Tuesday, Feb. 26 apologizing for the inconvenience.
“ASAP is thrilled to bring a big spring concert to the MC Campus. The Cab was announced as the band chosen by the campus to perform. As excited as we were to bring The Cab, they have recently signed a record deal with Universal Records. Because of this signing, the band has cancelled all their upcoming college shows, including our show scheduled in April.
ASAP will host the big spring concert as planned.
We are speaking with several equally exciting and prestigious bands that are enthusiastic about coming to Monmouth. We are anxiously waiting to hear from the agent and will alert the campus as soon as we have a signed contract.
The date and time of the concert will not change.
For students who have already purchased tickets, we will gladly replace the ticket with one for the new concert or refund the cost of the ticket price. We appreciate your patience with the situation and hope to provide the MC campus with the best possible alternative for this exciting event.”
