The holidays are about traditions, and a long running tradition in the Monmouth area is the production of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.” Auditions for the show, a partnership between the Monmouth College Theatre and the Buchanan Center for the Arts, will be on Monday, Oct. 7 from 3-5:30 p.m. and 7-9:30 p.m. and on Tuesday, Oct. 8 from 7-9:30 p.m. in the Wells Theater. Auditions will be held in groups, so participants can come at any time.
All are welcome to audition, no previous experience necessary. According to Director Dr. Bill Wallace, “there are over 40 parts available – we are looking for actors, dancers, Christmas carolers – everyone from Tiny Tim on up is welcome.”
Rehearsal will being Oct. 21 with performances Nov. 21-23, and as most parts are small, rehearsals will be minimal until the final week.
Anyone who needs further information about the shows or who has questions about auditions can contact Wallace at 309- 457-2374 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
