The Rhinestone Junkie Boutique is new clothing and jewelry store opening today in Monmouth. It will feature two exclusive jewelry lines hand crafted in Texas called Texas Clay and Pink Panache. Along with jewelry, the boutique will sell unique clothes that store owner, Lindsey Titus, personally picked out.

“I am going to carry products women can’t find anywhere around here, which will allow them to shop locally,” said Titus.

According to an article in the Review Atlas published earlier this month, the Rhinestone Junkie Boutique will also sell RJB exclusives, a jewelry line never before sold in this area. The store is targeted specifically toward women, giving them the first fashion boutique to hit Monmouth storefronts.

“It is going to be great, I think it will give College students a new place to get trendy clothes and jewelry,” said Monmouth College senior and local fashionista Dominique Shepler. “I’m planning on checking it out the new store as soon as it opens,” continued Shepler.

Titus will be offering an internship for a Monmouth College student this January to work at the boutique. The selected student will help keep track of inventory and work on the different social media sites for the store. Students should expect an offer to apply for the unpaid internship next semester.

Rhinestone Junkie Boutique originated from an online store that Titus had been running for over five years. She recently won the Monmouth Retail Business competition, giving her the opportunity to open up a storefront. Titus plans on using social media and the business of Monmouth College students to make it a successful venture.

“It’s scary no matter what business you’re getting into, but I am a big believer in establishing my own brand,” said Titus.
Despite being unique to the Monmouth area, Titus ships here products throughout the United States.

Along with the storefront, the competition awarded Titus with a free logo design and website. The shop will be located on at 107th S Street, right above The Salon Company. Visit their website, Facebook site, and Twitter account @Rhinestone_Junky for information about products and upcoming sales.
