University of Michigan coach Brady Hoke is under fire for not removing quarterback Shane Morris after the sophomore sustained a aconcussion on Saturday. Hoke said he was unaware during the game that Morris had been hurt during the play and thought it was an ankle injury that had been previously hurt.

U.S. women’s national soccer team coach, Jill Ellis, announced her 20-player roster for the World Cup qualifying this week. Among the players are keeper Hope Solo and forwards Abby Wambach and Alex Morgan.

Two of football’s oldest rivals, the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers, met on Sunday at Soldier Field. The Packers defeated the Bears 38-17.

The Chicago Cubs trumped the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday on the road 5-2.

At home on Sunday, the Chicago White Sox lost to the Royals 6-4.

The St. Louis Cardinals beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 1-0 on Sunday in Phoenix.
