The joy of enthusiasm

January 30, 2015

On Saturday, Jan. 24 we had the opportunity to be a part of something worth celebrating, an enthusiastic crowd at the basketball games.

Student athletes spend a considerable amount of time working to succeed, and playing to small and quiet crowds is difficult. But Saturday we had noise, we had spirit, we had personality.

It was a pleasure to witness students, band members, cheerleaders, dance team members, parents, friends and faculty all actively engaged in supporting our ladies and men in their efforts. Several students have commented on how much fun the games were and how good it was to see a new level of engagement and support. To all who played I offer my congratulations on your effort, to all who attended I offer my thanks for bringing enthusiasm back in fine voice to the game.
