Advice with Some Spice

February 27, 2015

Dear Paprika & Cayenne,

I am a senior in need of a job. Do you have any advice for someone who does not know what they want to do?

Hello, first off, do not be worried that you do not know what you want to do. Many times people who have jobs do not even know what they want to do. My advice is to get your foot into the door at a job that you are interested in. If you do not like it, you can always continue your job search. Also, I would highly suggest going to the Wackerle Career and Leadership Center to talk to professionals who can help you with your resume and get the kick start that you need to begin your job search. This is a very stressful time for seniors, but know that professors and staff are always there to help! Good luck on your job search!

I have come to find that Stephanie Kinkaid is a miracle worker when it comes to jobs. She and other members of the Wackerle staff are all so helpful when it comes to finding out the next step in your life. Also, talking to your adviser could be another good way to figure out what to do. The stress of graduation can have us all a little scared but fear not! We have some time to figure out exactly what we want!
You’ll be great!

Dear Paprika & Cayenne,

I have not made any plans for spring break, but want to do something fun. Can you help a girl out?

Hey girl hey, as a diva on a budget this spring break, I know how you feel about not having plans. Some things that I plan on doing include hanging out with school friends, going on day trips and visiting college friends who are not on spring break. You can even go to the movies, craft, or visit family, the options are endless! I’m sure you are not the only person who did not plan anything for spring break, so see what your friends are doing and start making plans! If you still cannot find anything to do, there is nothing wrong with spending spring break with Netflix! Can you say marathon?? Have a great spring break!

XOXO- Paprika

Hey girl!

Well we all know how fabulous spring break is supposed to be! I mean, look at “Spring Breakers” with Selena Gomez… bad example. Anywho, the best breaks are ones you spend with friends without having too much pressure to have a great time. Plan a day when you can go into the city (whichever that may be), get a hotel room, shop, go to dinner and relax! This is the time to relax before finishing up the semester. I’m sure you’re going to have a fabulous time!
Get it girl!
