All hands on deck for Family Weekend

All Hands on Deck! Family Weekend is here and there are plenty of events for students and their families to check out.

Friday night students and families can see rePercussion, an interactive and comedic concert in Dahl Chapel. The women’s volleyball team has a game Friday night. Students and family can support them in Glennie Gymnasium as they play Beloit College.

On Saturday activities begin early. At 8 a.m. students and family can participate in a 5K starting at the south doors of the Huff Center. Students and their alumni family members can attend the legacy brunch in the Mellinger Commons of CSB. The Legacy Brunch celebrates the family traditions of Monmouth College.

Continuing the festivities for Saturday, there will be inflatable games on the Quad; rain site will be in Huff Center. Inflatables will include an obstacle course, bounce house, green screen photos and jousting.

Students and family can enjoy lunch on the Quad for an all-campus cookout beginning at 11:30 a.m. There will be carnival style food served until 2 p.m.

Football, volleyball and both women and men’s soccer hosts games at home this weekend. Football, volleyball and women’s soccer begin at 1 p.m. The men’s soccer will follow the women’s game, at 3:30 p.m. The football team plays Carroll University. Volleyball will play against Lake Forest College. Both soccer teams will go head to head against Beloit College.

Saturday night beginning at 7 p.m. will be the annual FMaily Weekend conert. Perfromances will include Monmouth chamber Orchestra, the Monmouth Chorale, and the Monmouth Winds all in Dahl Chapel. Afterwords students and their families can see The Norman Magic Experience at Dahl Chapel. Reservations and tickets are required!

To wrap up the weekend, there will be a buffet style brunch at 9:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. in Stockdale.
