B-Town Boo-gies down Halloween weekend

November 4, 2016

Bowers Hall Council was responsible for throwing a hit event on MoCo’s campus last Saturday night, with their “B-Town Boo-gie”, Halloween dance party. The main lounge in Bowers was flooded with costumes of all shapes, sizes, and scariness, as everyone tried to get in on the action, and down on the dance floor.

Residents and attendees found it hard to sit still with the jams that were flowing from the playlist of Monmouth College’s own disk jockey, “D.J. Sammy B.”. From “Get Low” by Lil Jon and the East Side Boyz, to “Freek-A-Leek” by Petey Pablo, the tracks could not get any hotter.

Some claim they even witnessed, Mark the Security Guard, bust a move from his bird’s eye view on the second-floor. Mark had this to say, “I think it’s great to see everyone in one place, enjoying themselves, while also being safe and responsible. It makes my job much easier (he said jokingly). I wouldn’t mind seeing this type of event every weekend!”. After speaking with R.A.’s and Security, it didn’t seem like anyone had a bad time at this “Shindig”.

Midway through the party, Bowers Hall Council held a costume contest, with the winner receiving a free “college special”, from the local pizza shop in Monmouth, Pepperoni’s Pizza. Senior, C.J. Gillen, who portrayed Donald Trump, with a great wig and even better impersonation, was crowned the winner of the 2016 Costume Contest. Congrats Connor!
