On April 21 and 22 Monmouth College and the Midwest Journal of Undergraduate Research will co-sponsor the inaugural Conference of Undergraduate Research and Scholarship. This event allows students to take part in an opportunity to showcase their work and learn about the work of others. This event also allows students to network with peers from other schools as well.
The Midwest Journal of Undergraduate Research (MJUR) is a journal reviewed and produced by peers and faculty of Monmouth College. There are also many scholars from other institutions that contribute to the manuscript review process. The mission of MJUR is to support the development of quality and original undergraduate research, recognizing scholarly efforts and accomplishments, and to contribute to the undergraduate learning experience. MJUR accepts submissions of scholarly work from any academic field and from every undergraduate institution.
At this event, there will be student presentations, student poster sessions, and a special fall 2017 “Conference Proceedings” issue of the Midwest Journal of Undergraduate Research. The students from Monmouth who are presenting include Cole Downey, Kelci Foss, Daniel Hitnzke, Sarah Lang, Abrafi Osei-Kofi, Diana Rubi, Stephanie Saey, Sophia Slocum, Riley Van Velsor, Isaac Willis, Haley Willits, Rachel Witzig, and Hadley Smithhisler who is also the Associate Student Editor.
